RCM Client Manager – Pathology & Laboratory Billing Specialist
Remote | $68,000–$73,000 | Full-Time

We’re currently seeking an experienced RCM Client Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This is a remote opportunity ideal for someone with deep expertise in pathology or clinical laboratory billing , and direct experience as a Pathology Practice Manager (private or hospital-based) or someone who has worked extensively in lab-focused revenue cycle consulting .

What You’ll Do:
As an RCM Client Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor to our laboratory clients. Acting as the main liaison between labs, billers, and payers, you’ll analyze reimbursement trends, identify revenue opportunities, drive audit improvements, and ensure clients remain compliant and profitable.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with lab clients and billing partners.

• Lead client onboarding, coordinate internal setup, and direct workflow optimization.

• Analyze monthly revenue cycle performance and collaborate with billers to reduce denials and enhance reimbursement.

• Serve as a go-to expert for lab billing, coding, payer policy updates, and compliance requirements.

• Communicate regulatory and industry changes that may impact revenue or processes.

• Present quarterly audit results with actionable recommendations.

• Support payer contract reviews and negotiate on behalf of clients, when requested.

• Guide clients through Medicare and other payer audits (e.g., CERT).

• Work closely with the internal RCM team to improve processes and share insights.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• 5+ years of direct experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management, with a strong preference for those in clinical laboratory or pathology billing .

• Deep understanding of pathology workflows, payer rules, billing agencies, and lab contract negotiations.

• Clear, professional communication with both physicians and executive stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working across platforms (billing portals, SFTP, EMRs).

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage priorities independently.
