Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 302188
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's accounting team. This position will be responsible for supporting general ledger accounting functions, preparing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly close activities.
- Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accounting.
- Support financial reporting and management reporting requests.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to obtain and analyze financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-4 years of accounting experience.
- Understanding of general ledger accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups preferred.
- Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
