Buyer
- Source and evaluate new suppliers to meet company standards for quality, cost, and reliability.
- Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery.
- Accurately prepare and convert purchase requisitions; ensure completed requisitions are sent to suppliers or requestors for review as needed.
- Review supplier order confirmations for accuracy and follow up promptly on any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation in SAP, Excel, Vasion, and/or local filing systems.
- Support procurement needs across all KTP facilities, including locations in New York, Illinois, California, and North Carolina.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to verify purchase requisitions and invoices for accuracy.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Track and analyze spending to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Manage supply chain risk by developing diversified supplier networks and optimizing inventory to prevent operational disruptions.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Analyze company and product requirements to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Partner with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement needs.
- Stay informed about market trends, supplier innovations, and best procurement practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate expectations, provide feedback, and collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to secure favorable terms and build lasting relationships.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess data and resolve complex procurement issues.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with dedicated procurement or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP).
