Administrative & sales coordinator
Adventure Treks operates 13- to 30-day community-based outdoor adventure summer programs for teenagers in the North American west. We also operate gap semester programs in North Carolina, Washington, Oregon, and Costa Rica. Our program goals for students include creating a close and inclusive community of peers and genuine, long-lasting friendships; improving 21st century skills; and developing a love and passion for outdoor recreation and conservation.

Adventure Treks is hiring a part-time administrative and sales coordinator. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated and organized, and detail-oriented. This person will not only collaborate with our full-time administrative team, but also with our field instructors and outfitters. This person must be enthusiastic about communicating the benefits and growth opportunities that Adventure Treks provides to its students.
Office hours will range from 20–25 hours per week and are flexible, but will typically take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. This job may also offer up to 40 hours per week between early June and mid August if desired.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in the admissions process for families, including organizing and following up on forms, waivers, and tuition
- Assist with invoices and communication from third-party outfitters and guiding companies
- Organize and help coordinate transportation for students
- Communicate with enrolled and prospective families via phone and email
- And a variety of administrative tasks necessary for the safe and successful operation of our programs
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's or higher degree strongly preferred
- Experience working in an office setting
- Superior verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter and creative problem-solver
- Experience working in cloud-based databases (e.g., Google Drive)
- Experience working with summer camps / youth development / outdoor industry organizations strongly preferred
- Experience working in camp-specific databases (e.g. CampMinder) strongly preferred
- Experience with customer service and communicating with clients over the phone and email strongly preferred
- Marketing and sales experience are a plus and may lead to additional opportunities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
