Travel L&D RN Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Unit: Labor & Delivery, 16-bed unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$1960
• Scrubs: Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Immediate newborn care skills
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• BLS/ALS certification (Basic Life Support/Advanced Life Support)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Experience with Cerner EMR and FetaLink preferred
• Strong communication skills and adaptable, outgoing personality

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced electronic monitoring equipment
• Assist with and circulate for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures
• Provide immediate newborn care and family support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and physicians
• Float as needed to MFMU (Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit), MOMB (Mother Baby), and NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and healthcare guidelines
