Nutritionist

Carolina Health & Wellness
Asheville, NC

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person

Want a career that changes people’s lives?

We are seeking a Nutritionist / Health Coach to join our team at Carolina Health & Wellness. We are a small, family owned but rapidly growing office with an emphasis on compassionate and friendly patient care. This position will be responsible for overseeing all operations pertaining to weight loss.

You need to be the type of person with strong work ethic who takes action, is well spoken, a self-starter, desires to always keep learning, and is organized and committed to greatness in all that you do. This position will require 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).

As the Nutrition Coach for our clinic, your focus will be on education of nutrition, exercise and lifestyle strategies to help set our clients up for long term success. You will be in charge of consultations, calling prospects, assessing clients to determine the best plan of action and then educating the clients on how to get results, sales/marketing/networking in the community to grow client base and continuously improving your own knowledge to give our clients the best service. We can teach you how to run the day to day operations, but you need to have a strong grasp of nutrition and how to teach lifestyle changes. This is not telling people to starve themselves so they will lose weight. If that is your approach, then this is not the right position for you.

When patients don’t believe in themselves, it is your job to believe in them and show them how their weight loss and wellness goals can actually be achieved. We want someone that will take pride in the position and is passionate about serving their Western North Carolina community.

This position includes base pay + commission scale + bonus $$ opportunities. Income will be based entirely off performance. If you are pretty good at what you do, then you can make $40K. If you are really good, then you will have no problem making over $70K. But, a true All-Star can make over $100K in this position. DO NOT apply unless you know you can one day be an All-Star.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a strong passion for health and wellness, demonstrating genuine care and empathy for our patients.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, including nutrition and exercise.
  • Assist patients in setting and achieving health goals.
  • Perform tasks such as measuring blood pressure, conducting EKGs, and administering injections.
  • Maintain and continue to grow knowledge regarding nutrition, weight loss, and exercise.
  • Enjoy engaging with people throughout the day, providing excellent customer service and fostering positive relationships.
  • Maintain a consistently positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate reliability by consistently arriving on time for shifts and being available as needed.
  • Embrace a coachable mindset, quickly absorbing new information and applying it effectively in daily tasks.
  • Proactively take initiative to address tasks and solve problems without waiting to be instructed.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable, thriving under pressure and adjusting quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Comfortably engage in both incoming and outgoing phone calls to promote our services and support patient engagement.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks to prevent errors.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable about nutrition, weight loss, and exercise.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients and effectively interact with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Experience:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar role.
  • Knowledgeable about hormone therapy and/or peptides
  • Experience working in a medical office, functional medicine office, or as an office manager.
  • Entrepreneurial experience such as owning a business or managing operations.

If you're ready to join a dynamic team dedicated to transforming lives through holistic health and wellness, we'd love to hear from you!
