Staff Accountant

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is perfect for a professional looking to further their career in accounting and finance within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Leverage experience from a public accounting firm to contribute to the team's success.
• Manage bookkeeping tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Process payroll returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file W-2 and 1099 forms in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with audits and other financial reviews as necessary.
• Provide insightful analysis and recommendations based on financial data.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in bookkeeping and payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of W-2 and 1099 preparation and filing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
