Upholstery Manufacturing Cell Supervisor

Lead upholstery operations and elevate performance

Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–2:00 AM

Role Overview

Guide a manufacturing team to consistently hit safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. You’ll coordinate with other supervisors, deploy Continuous Improvement tools, and ensure policies and procedures are implemented effectively across your area.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and assign work within the upholstery department; ensure cross-functional coordination with peer supervisors.
• Use CI methods to improve working conditions and processes (safety, quality, productivity, and cost); lead employee participation in improvement programs.
• Analyze data, make informed decisions, and resolve production issues; communicate product/material concerns to the right stakeholders.
• Ensure equipment is maintained for safe, proper operation; enforce PPE and safety compliance.
• Support the Superintendent/Manager to enhance production control, SOPs, safety practices, quality control, and performance management systems.
• Manage people processes: hiring recommendations, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, and pay adjustments.
• Direct team members to achieve area goals; audit regularly for SOP adherence.
• Coach, mentor, and deliver performance reviews; plan and implement training and upskilling.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
• Facilitate alignment through weekly team meetings and regular one-on-ones; promote company learning opportunities.
• Optimize utilization of equipment, facilities, personnel, methods, and materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate degree in Supervisory Management or related field (desired)
• 2+ years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment (required)
• Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
• Experience with manufacturing/warehouse equipment and department processes (desired)
