Registered Nurse Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF Division)
• Location: Apex, North Carolina 27502
• Start Date: September 4, 2025
• End Date: December 4, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekend shifts per month
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Unit Size: 52 beds (currently 26 beds open)
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1730

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of adult or geriatric nursing experience
• Preferred: Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital settings
• Strong clinical skills, flexibility, and dependability

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, or orthopedic injury
• Operate and manage equipment such as Hoyer lifts, DinaMap monitors, and Nova biomedical glucometers
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment for patients and their families
