Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit — note that while the unit is tele-capable, the primary patient population is Med/Surg
- Patient population includes observation, respiratory, general medical/surgical, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients
- Uses Epic EMR — experience is mandatory
- Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
- Floating across all health system facilities is required
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Prior Charge RN experience is preferred
- A zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is strictly enforced
