Job Title: HACCP Quality Assurance Specialist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Siler City, NC
Pay: $22 to $25 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Overtime as Needed

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced HACCP Quality Assurance Specialist to join a leading pork processing and packaging facility in the Siler City area. This position is responsible for overseeing food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance throughout the cooking, processing, and packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive QA experience in food manufacturing, strong HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work closely with production teams to maintain the highest quality standards. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and food safety programs throughout production operations
• Verify critical control points (CCPs) and maintain HACCP documentation and records
• Conduct quality inspections of cooked, processed, and packaged pork products
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, company policies, and customer specifications
• Perform internal audits and support regulatory and customer inspections
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Review production, sanitation, and temperature records for accuracy and compliance
• Train employees on food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare and communicate quality reports to management

Required Qualifications:

• Current HACCP Certification required
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing or meat processing
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, USDA regulations, and food safety standards
• Experience in protein, pork, or meat processing environments
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must complete hiring process, background requirements, and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience with USDA-regulated facilities and customer audits
• Knowledge of SQF, BRC, or other GFSI-recognized food safety systems
