How will you make an impact?
The Sr Manager Project Controls will work to lead a team of both internal and external resources to provide daily support and execution of project controls functions for all the CAPEX projects being executed on the site. You will supervise and grow the Project Controls team and be responsible for cost, schedule, change control monitoring, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You and your team will manage overall project cost, schedule, and change controls by supporting project management activities.
What you will do:
Develop and supervise a Project Controls team for the CAPEX Project Engineering group
Finance
Prepare management reports on the results of the monthly and quarterly CAPEX Project status
Initiate communication and coordinate with other departments to improve the quality of financial information
Maintain accurate and consistent reporting formats and data
Maintain written procedures relevant to major and minor financial activities
Reconcile monthly statements with vendors and internal costs centers
Support and perform internal financial audits for CAPEX projects
Cost Controls
Develop baseline budgets from project cost estimates
Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and apply to project budgets
Develop and provide cost reporting per project reporting schedules
Implement earned value systems to determine Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cost efficiency (CPI)
Support development of Rules of Credit for earned value tracking
Develop contingency tracking reports and manage contingency drawdown logs
Schedule Controls
Develop baseline integrated project schedules for EPCMV projects
Resource load project schedules to assist with project staffing and construction labor requirements
Work with a multi-disciplined team, including Engineering, Construction, Validation, Technology Transfer, and Operational Readiness, to build schedules and track progress
Implement earned value systems to determine schedule efficiency (SPI)
Change Management
Develop and maintain change management systems
Maintain project change/decision logs
Support the issuance and/or receipt of change orders as necessary throughout the life of a project
Provide linkage between project change and contingency management
Risk Management
Support the risk management process by helping to identify and quantify cost, schedule, and scope risk
Support project risk assessments and Monte Carlo risk simulations
Perform other duties as assigned such as purchase requisitions, invoicing, etc.

How you will get here:
Education, Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management along with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Finance and Project Controls experience on EPCM Projects required (EPCMV Pharma Projects preferred)
Financial forecasting and cash flow analysis experience required
Experience building and maintaining Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project resource loaded schedules
Experience with Earned Value Management and Rules of Credit
Experience with project cost estimating preferred
Demonstrated experience in Windows based software, especially spreadsheet or database programs
Demonstrated experience with enterprise software systems (SAP R/3) preferred
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with developing and managing a team preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Advanced experience in Windows based software, especially spreadsheet or database programs
Advanced experience with enterprise software systems (SAP R/3) preferred
Advanced experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Experience with project cost estimating preferred
