Overview
This role supports the Quality Management System and works directly between the office and production floor.
It is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment, not a desk-only position.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
- Support corrective actions and root cause analysis
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and reports
- Track and report quality data using Excel
- Work directly with production on quality issues
- Support calibration and record-keeping activities
- Assist with supplier quality and customer requirements
- Support APQP, PPAP, and IMDS requirements as needed
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
- QMS experience (ISO preferred)
- Hands-on audit involvement
- Experience with corrective actions and root cause
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and email communication
- Ability to work between office and production floor
Preferred
- Experience with metals (steel, aluminum, stainless)
- Supplier quality experience
- APQP / PPAP exposure
