A health system is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Eastern North Carolina.

This position requires candidates who can commit to the full schedule and coverage period, with a minimum of 35 years of experience. Coverage begins October 13th and continues during recruitment, with hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with an average of 15 patients per day per provider. Candidates must have BLS certification from the AHA. There are no night or weekend shifts, no ICU or critical care procedures, and no requirement to serve as ER back-up. The facility uses Epic Oncology EHR.
