We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key accounting functions.
Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end closing procedures to finalize financial data efficiently.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial reporting.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor and adhere to established accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting functions.• Proven experience in month-end closing processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Strong understanding of journal entries and their impact on financial statements.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency in managing bank reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
