At SAVES, you'll collaborate with a well-rounded team of 7 emergency doctors and specialists in critical care, surgery, and internal medicine. Our well-trained and cohesively utilized support staff includes two technicians who are VTS credentialed in ECC! We pride ourselves on fostering a collegial, team-oriented environment that values your input, sense of humor, and dedication. Our team values support from a dedicated referral relationship manager and marketing manager to enhance awareness of the SAVES brand within the referral and pet-owner communities.

  • Advanced imaging technology, including the Optima CT520 and GE 1.5T MRI.
  • Three Phillips EPIQ5 ultrasound machines with exams conducted by a human-trained Ultrasound Sonographer, supported by Board-Certified Radiologist Review.
  • I-Stat point-of-care blood analyzers for immediate diagnostics.
  • Two digital radiography systems for precision imaging.
  • Comprehensive benchtop in-hospital lab systems and access to Lacuna Digital Cytology for fast and accurate diagnostic support.
  • Olympus 180 gastroscopes, including one scope dedicated exclusively to emergency use.
  • Dedicated spaces for chemotherapy preparation and administration in a USP 800-compliant facility.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
