Key Job Details – Psychiatric RN Travel Assignment

• Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, teaching hospital
• Unit: Behavioral Health / Med Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) – 2 North
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/24/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 4 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1720
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 call-off shifts per 13-week contract

Qualifications – Psychiatric Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Must pass EKG exam (no exceptions)
• Ability to float within scope to support hospital needs
• No local candidates within 50 miles of facility
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• First-time travel nurses accepted

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in behavioral health and MS/Tele units
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications using Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
• Maintain patient safety and foster a therapeutic environment
• Float to similar clinical units as needed to support hospital operations
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to start date
