Location: This is a full-time, on-site position in Asheville, North Carolina. Our team values collaboration and maintains an in-office culture while offering flexibility to work remotely when business needs require.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and possess at least 3 years of estate tax planning experience. A CPA designation or LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate, gift, income tax, and wealth transfer planning strategies.
• Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans tailored to client objectives.
• Counsel clients on business succession planning and related tax considerations.
• Analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic planning recommendations.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and professional advisors.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver outstanding client service.
• Participate in community, business development, and professional networking activities.
• Manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness.
• Assist clients with closely held business planning and ownership transition strategies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active North Carolina Bar license.
• 3+ years of estate tax planning experience.
• Experience with estate planning, tax planning, and business succession planning.
• Strong knowledge of federal estate, gift, and income tax principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and client relationship skills.
• CPA designation or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
• Portable book of business is a plus but not required.
