About the Role:
As a Phlebotomist, you will be the vital link connecting patients to their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities:

Perform skilled venipuncture and capillary collections on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Draw high-quality blood samples, label specimens precisely, and verify patient demographics ensuring specimen integrity.

Explain procedures to patients clearly, fostering a comfortable environment built on trust and professionalism.

Prepare and process specimens for laboratory analysis, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.

Provide outstanding customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with empathy.

Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment following all safety policies and OSHA standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Valid phlebotomy certification preferred; certification required in certain states (California, Nevada, Washington).

1-3 years of hands-on phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Strong venipuncture skills and proficiency in capillary blood collection.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures and build rapport with patients.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing environments.

Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills.

Reliability, including dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience working in a patient service center or clinical laboratory setting.

Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen processing.

Customer service experience in retail or healthcare environments.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Relevant medical training, such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic certification.

Prior experience in a high-volume clinical lab or patient service setting.

Other Requirements:

Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Ability to travel between multiple locations on short notice.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform venipuncture, and handle specimen transport.

Compliance with all safety, immunization, and health policies.
