Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Manager, Business Systems Support to lead day-to-day operations of our business systems support team. This role is key in bridging business and technical teams, providing support to accounting and finance teams, and ensuring smooth resolution of system-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Business Systems Support team, ensuring prompt and effective support for SAP users.
- Serve as the liaison between business users and functional/technical teams to clarify issues, escalate support needs appropriately, and ensure alignment on solutions.
- Support the company’s transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including readiness activities, testing coordination, and user support.
- Oversees centralized system operations such as IDoc processing, ensuring data integrity and timely resolution of integration issues between systems.
- Ensure consistent ownership and execution of business-critical processes managed by the support team.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance oversight for support team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and collaborating with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the department director on handoffs, escalations, and planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with SAP in a support or operations environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to independently manage responsibilities, take initiative, and solve problems without direct oversight.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience working in a cross-functional support environment.
- Familiarity with change management or escalation processes within large organizations.
