Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Location: Gastonia, NC
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:30am – 5:00pm
Pay Range: $23.00 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our team at our metal manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to fabricate metal components to precise specifications. You will work within a dynamic environment and contribute to the production of high-quality metal products.

Essential Job Functions:

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal materials according to technical drawings and specifications
• Inspect and measure parts during and after the bending process to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve proper bend angles, tolerances, and smoothness
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines to ensure optimal performance
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine appropriate machine settings and material requirements
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for each job run, including work orders, time sheets, and quality control reports

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating press brake machines in a metal manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Ability to measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine setup and operation
• Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to operate machinery and handle metal components
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels
