Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC (28304) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Unit: 6 South Medical/Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-offs per assignment
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1720

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Ability to float within hospital or sister campus as needed
• Must pass advanced EKG exam
• Travel nurses only – locals not accepted within 50 miles of facility
• First-time travel RNs welcome!

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response situations
• Perform peripheral line care and oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks, non-invasive airway management)
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Utilize special equipment including Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and rolling walkers
• Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, Foley catheters, Bipap, and high-flow oxygen
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float between similar units as needed to support hospital staffing needs
