Title: Land & Development Engineer
Location: Salisbury, NC
Salary: $65k-$87k + Top Tier benefits + sign on bonus
Requirements: EI/EIT needed, 2+ years in municipal, civil engineering and land development projects
We are a thriving municipality between the NC metropolis regions of Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte. Due to our area's population growth, our Land Development and Public Works teams are growing as well. We are now seeking a Land & Development Engineer that will lead and manage land development projects from conception through completion, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. This role requires a deep understanding of land development procedures, construction practices, and engineering principles to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders and deliver high-quality results. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development projects from planning through execution.
- Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
- Prepare and review development plans and engineering designs to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with municipal authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project team members.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct field supervision and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- EIT or EI registration with plans on obtaining PE
- 2+ years of experience in land development and construction.
- Strong knowledge of municipal codes and regulations related to land development.
- Experience in project management and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with stormwater management practices and sewer systems.
- Certified Floodplain Manager certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in development plans, field supervision, and design practices.
