McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Project Manager to work in its Strategy and Organizational Development department in Charlotte, NC.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will:

  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation ofnew programs, services, workflows, and business processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Manage multiple assigned initiatives simultaneously, ensuring activities remain organized, on track, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Lead the development, coordination, and execution of structured project plans, including project scope, goals, timelines, milestones, deliverables,dependencies, resource needs,and success measures.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, meeting agendas, status reports, decision logs, communication plans, budget trackers, action item trackers, and risk registers, ensuring records are accurate and organized in approved organizational systems.
  • Monitor project progress byidentifyingbarriers, risks, resource needs, and competing priorities; developingmitigation and contingency plans; and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Track post-implementation performance, project outcomes, and agreed-upon performance indicators to support stabilization, refinement, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Prepare updates, presentations, dashboards, reports, and summaries to communicate progress, outcomes, risks, and next steps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among internal teams and external partners to support successful execution.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear agendas, timely follow-up, documented decisions, and accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with and support appropriate subject matter experts to ensure project decisions and implementation plans consider compliance, clinical, medical, operational, financial, technology, and quality-related requirements.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects, programs, strategic initiatives, or performance improvement efforts, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or human service settings.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement, process improvement, or change management methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health services, regulatory requirements, privacy laws, accreditation standards, or payer-related processes preferred.

Certificates/Licenses:

  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel between locations is required.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, PgMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent credential preferred.
