Scrum Master

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Scrum Master in Charlotte, NC. Summary: We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile ceremonies and drive delivery excellence across multiple fast-paced development squads. This role requires someone who understands the difference between textbook Agile and real-world Agile-with the flexibility to adapt practices to fit our evolving environment. The ideal candidate will bring both technical insight and process leadership, enabling high-velocity teams to succeed in a complex software ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:

• Scrum Master will facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Organize and maintain structured sprint schedules across multiple squads (2-week sprint cycles)
• Drive consistency and accountability across Squad 1 & 2 and Squad 3 & 4, who operate on staggered cycles
• Collaborate with a global team, including an offshore Scrum Master and developers working until 12 PM EST
• Use JIRA as the central source of truth for backlog management, sprint tracking, and velocity planning
• Provide meaningful reports and updates to executive leadership, including PowerPoint presentations on team progress, roadmaps, and sprint outcomes
• As a Scrum Master, you will navigate and manage stakeholder expectations, particularly within the Scope UI application, which touches multiple departments and lacks a centralized product owner
• Remain composed under pressure and lead escalations as needed; Escalation is a part of the role, not an exception
• Maintain visibility into team goals and enhancements-not at the code level, but at a level high enough to clearly articulate intent and progress
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting multiple Agile teams in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies in practice
• Expertise in JIRA, including dashboards and pulling performance metrics
• Strong communication skills with the ability to speak to stakeholders at all levels about sprint goals, team enhancements, and the product roadmap
• Comfortable driving conversations with both onshore and offshore teams
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage sprints, lead backlog grooming, and facilitate velocity and capacity planning

• Experience with JQL (JIRA Query Language)
• Familiarity with Kanban, Agile/Scrum hybrid models, and frameworks like SAFe
• Background working with UI or front-end teams, particularly in environments without a single product owner
