Senior Software Engineer, Python

As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. You will work directly with stakeholders and Data Analysts to develop new and enhanced capabilities that help analysts achieve mission success and add core tools to an analytical suite. You will support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to process ETL on new and varied data sets, and work with Big Data at scale, using Spark/PySpark to handle petabytes of data.
As an immediate liaison with the customer, you will have a deep understanding of their current and upcoming mission needs, generating requirements based on their input. Working with a variety of data types, including Technical Telemetry Data, Computer Network Cyber data, and other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, such as cellular, wi-fi, and ethernet, you will develop solutions that meet their specific needs. The satisfaction of knowing that everything you do in this role will be directly used by the customer, contributing to the success of their mission, is a crucial part of the job. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the customer's mission success and play a critical role in their operations.
Clearance:
Active Top Secret clearance with an ability to obtain SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph

\n As a Software Engineer, you will...- Updating all application workflows to improve performance and resiliency
- Work in a multi-faceted software development team, working to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure with a true big-data footprint (over 10 petabytes)
- Solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts and their on-going activities.
- Support a diverse background of experience in mission support and software development
- Prototyping and frequent, iterative feedback are core to our delivery approach, anchored by a need to work quickly in support of our missions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field
- 12+ years development experience in modern languages (Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Full-stack web frameworks: Django, Python, Flask
- Front-End frameworks: React, Angular, Typescript
- Cloud computing environments: Openstack, AWS, Azure
- DevOps & automation tools: Docker, Ansible, Gitlab.
- Big Data Technologies: Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Neo4j
- Geo-related mapping experience
