Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference supporting students’ communication skills as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist. Collaborate with a welcoming educational team, serving a diverse caseload that allows you to focus your expertise where it’s needed most. Two openings are available: one supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade, and the other dedicated to a preschool caseload. Each position offers the opportunity to work closely with teachers, families, and support staff, helping students from a range of backgrounds achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students with various speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Conduct assessments to determine speech and language needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions and planning
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with parents and educators
- Employ evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques
Enjoy a consistent schedule, working 40 hours per week over five days. The K-12 position serves a caseload of approximately 55 students across all grade levels, while the preschool role allows you to specialize your work with early learners.
