Physical Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Physical Therapist (13-week contract)
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Pediatrics (with flexibility to Adult Orthopedic/Neurology as needed)
• Location: Reidsville, North Carolina 27320
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shifts (08:45 – 17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200–$2250
• Start Date: September 23, 2025
• End Date: December 23, 2025
• Patient Population: Primarily pediatric patients (birth to 5 years), with occasional adult caseloads
• Charting System: EPIC EMR

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient pediatric physical therapy experience (no first-time travelers)
• Demonstrated experience working with pediatric patients, especially ages birth to 5 years
• Active North Carolina Physical Therapist license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to complete all healthcare compliance requirements prior to start date
• Willingness to float to other Cone Health campuses as needed
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient physical therapy services to pediatric patients with developmental delays, autism, torticollis, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, and related diagnoses
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized plans of care
• Establish and monitor long- and short-term therapy goals for patients
• Perform milestone assessments and implement early intervention programs
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention strategies
• Utilize adaptive devices, gait belts, and therapeutic training techniques
• Identify environmental barriers and provide clinical recommendations
• Document patient progress and outcomes using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Flex to adult orthopedic and neuro caseloads as needed
