MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Clyde, NC 28721 – Western North Carolina, close to Asheville and the Smoky Mountains
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel healthcare contract)
• Facility: Outpatient Care Center
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250-$2310
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension
• Weekend/Call: Rotating on-call; weekday call after shift until 7 AM, 24-hour call on weekends
• Equipment: GE 450w 1.5T MRI scanner
• Electronic Health Record: Paragon EHR
• Scrub Color: Black

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Active ARRT MRI registration (required for all MRI Technologist jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting
• Proven experience with Cardiac MRI and Breast MRI (required)
• Ability to float to hospital MRI department as needed
• Current BLS certification (preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eligible for travel status (must live at least 60 miles from Clyde, NC)

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans, including Cardiac and Breast MRI, for adult patients in an outpatient healthcare setting
• Operate GE 450w 1.5T MRI equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient records using Paragon EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule, including weekday evenings and weekends
• Float to hospital MRI department as needed to support clinical operations
• Adhere to all healthcare safety and infection control protocols
