Family Law Paralegal
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000 annually (DOE) + Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, Annual Bonus
Fully onsite Monday-Friday in Cary, NC Job Summary:
Our client, a well-established family law firm in Cary, NC, is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized legal professional with strong family law litigation experience who can confidently manage cases from filing through resolution.
The ideal candidate has experience handling Wake County family law matters , drafting pleadings, managing litigation deadlines, and filing documents through North Carolina's eFiling system. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, low-volume practice where quality and attention to detail are prioritized.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery, and other family law legal documents.
- File pleadings and court documents through North Carolina's eFiling system.
- Manage litigation deadlines and ensure all filings and case milestones are completed on time.
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
- Conduct legal research and assist with preparing case materials.
- Provide administrative and litigation support throughout all stages of family law matters.
- Independently manage priorities while supporting multiple active cases.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Family Law Paralegal experience.
- Experience handling Wake County, NC family law cases strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with North Carolina court filing procedures and eFiling.
- Experience drafting pleadings and other family law court documents.
- Strong understanding of family law litigation procedures and court deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.
