Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Specialist in Huntersville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring, agile, and reliable team culture while using integrity and teamwork to assist employees, visitors, and daily site operations in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in alignment with location protocols.
• Support a professional environment at a technology-focused location by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
