Material & Production Planner
Job Description
The Material & Production Planner oversees production scheduling and material replenishment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to make decisions under pressure. It also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of materials, schedules, and inventory while offering long-term growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to support 24/7 operations.
- Oversee material planning, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inputs and constraints to ensure precise and reliable production planning.
- Resolve real-time scheduling and material issues while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and support continuous improvement of planning processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Math, etc.).
- Strong capability in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas; macros are an advantage).
- Solid understanding of MRP principles and core planning concepts.
- Able to prioritize, make decisions, and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Proven reliability and consistent follow-through on responsibilities.
- Experience using ERP/MRP platforms (SAP beneficial but not essential).
