Landscape Crew Member and Driver
The primary role of the Maintenance Crew Member is to carry out landscape maintenance tasks efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our commitment to high-quality standards and exceptional customer service. Under the guidance of a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader, you’ll ensure that properties are maintained to a high standard, consistently meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned property maintenance tasks in a timely manner, adhering to production goals, customer service standards, and supervisory instructions on a daily basis.
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment at all times.
Operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively, including hand tools, ride-on, walk-behind, and push mowers; edgers, trimmers, blowers, thatchers, overseeders, and other maintenance tools.
Mow, edge, and maintain turf areas weekly, ensuring hardscapes and beds are properly edged, weeded, and watered.
Prune shrubs and perform other plant care tasks with assistance from the detail crew, as required.
Report damaged trees, missing plants, or other issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and blade conditions to ensure safe operation.
Accurately log hours worked, following company time-reporting procedures.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with crew members, supervisors, and other company personnel.
Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct guidelines.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions efficiently.
Proficiency in using landscape maintenance tools and equipment.
Capable of handling the physical demands of the job, including lifting and operating equipment.
Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous attitude when interacting with others.
Valid Driver’s License required (3+ years of experience).
Work Environment:
The position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, including exposure to dirt, water, chemicals, and noise.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, squatting, walking for long periods, and reaching overhead.
Frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials and equipment to complete tasks.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Travel:
Crew members will travel to and from job sites in a company vehicle on a daily basis.
