Pitt Electric has been a well-known member of the electrical industry in eastern NC for over 45 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Branch Manager for our Charlotte location. Position Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, Project Management, Estimating, and Business Development for the location. The Branch Manager will ensure the branch meets revenue, margin, safety, and customer satisfaction goals while developing a high performance team and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, vendors, and employees within the Charlotte area.

Responsibilities:

• Daily operations across project management, estimating, procurement, warehouse, and field teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee workforce planning, including manpower forecasting, hiring, and subcontractor management.
• Maintain and enforce company safety programs, compliance standards, and company policies.
• Responsibilities for branch P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic planning, market development, and customer retention.
• Monitor job costing, productivity, and margin performance; intervene early to correct variances.
• Approve major purchases, bids, and contract commitments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, GCs, and industry partners.
• Represent the company at local trade associations, networking events, and community engagements.
• Identify new business opportunities and support estimating in bid strategy and proposal development.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, foremen, and administrative staff.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support career development pathways.

Experience/Education:

Electrical License in NC preferred

Other Requirements:

• 7-10 years experience in estimating and/or Project Management.
• Proficient using Estimating software preferably Accubid.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC requirements, and construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineer design drawings.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
