Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Ob/Gyn
Description
This contract position is on-site, offering a unique opportunity to provide quality care in a vibrant medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients, ensuring high standards of service and patient safety. This role is critical in supporting our healthcare team and enhancing patient outcomes within our practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide obstetric and gynecological care to patients
- Perform routine examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat various conditions related to women's health
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in on-call duties as required
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in Ob/Gyn
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts, Monday-Sunday
Facility: 162-bed hospital with a closed ICU
EMR: Meditech
Board certification required
