Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (3VPN)
• Shift: Day Shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-off policy per 13-week assignment
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660-$1700

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of North Carolina or compact state)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float within scope to similar clinical units as needed
• Must pass advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Local candidates not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a travel nurse
• Pending RN licenses not accepted

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to similar medical/surgical units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in nursing
