As an Associate Subcontract Administrator for Life Sciences North America you will work with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures to support basic Subcontracting activities on a Project.

Leverage your passion and experience as you effectively and professionally conduct, and coordinate procurement transactions associated with subcontracting of services as assigned. Bring your extensive knowledge and understanding of subcontracting concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion to an organization that embraces change and challenges. The Associate Subcontracts Administrator has a basic understanding of the subcontracting process, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The Associate Subcontract Administrator reports directly to the Manager of Subcontracts for the office which they are assigned. While supporting Jacobs’ Projects, the Associate Subcontract Administrator will report indirectly to the assigned Project Procurement Manager.

Some responsibilities will include:

• Subcontracting assignments typically will consist of lower value, non-critical services, or support of other subcontract administrators as requested

• Utilizes established policies, procedures, systems, and tools

• Advises to stakeholders how to create requisitions and helps them in understanding the overall Procurement process

• Administers Procurement Agreements and change orders (modifications)

• Reviews subcontracts-related invoices and ensures that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the subcontract

• Evaluates facts surrounding subcontract-related problem areas and applies remedies to resolve it

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree

•4+ years of experience in capital equipment purchasing is preferred.

• Experience contracting for Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects is ideal.

• Travel - Anticipated travel 10-20% of the time.

Ideally you'll also have:

• Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

• An expressed interest in pursuing a career in Procurement

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work and thrive in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

• A drive to solve complex and challenging problems.

The base salary range for this position is $75,300.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
