Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Oxford, NC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an inclusion classroom for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract-to-hire position involves working with students in grades K-6, including 6th grade, providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 15 students. The role is part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week, spread across five days, and requires onsite presence during standard school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborating with general education teachers to support inclusion strategies in the classroom.
• Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional approaches accordingly.
• Providing direct instruction and support to students with special needs within the inclusion setting.
• Engaging with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to promote student success and well-being.

Qualifications or experience desired:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-6) in an inclusion classroom.
