Sr. Field Applications Specialist - Life Sciences (South East)

At Leica Biosystems, the Senior Field Applications Specialist - Life Sciences supports in-field technical application support for automated histopathology products, helping achieve sales and profitability goals within the assigned territory. This role supports the South East Region including North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland DC, and is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual unit and reagent goals for supported products in the United States.
• Train and mentor other Application Specialists on new product technologies and applications in diagnostic or research histopathology, cytopathology, or cytogenetics environments.
• Share technical and industry knowledge through conferences, Teams, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Design and perform experiments to investigate and resolve mid-level technical application problems.
• Collaborate with Sales personnel and Field Service Engineers to build customer relationships and take an active leadership role in regional projects.

Essential Requirements

• Education: BA/BS in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of product-relevant histology marketplace or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of Histology laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial settings (with a practical focus on IHC/Research where relevant).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in optimization, operation, functionality, and support of manual and automated IHC instrumentation and related products (preferred).

Travel & Motor Vehicle Record Requirements

• 75% travel, including overnight, within the specified locations.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $105,000 – $115,000. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Salary may be modified in the future.
