Job Title: Sheet Metal Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and manage field crews on commercial HVAC and architectural sheet metal projects throughout the greater Raleigh area. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in sheet metal installation, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal crews on commercial job sites.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Plan and delegate tasks to meet project timelines and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct quality control checks and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and job progress.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote skill development and team cohesion.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in sheet metal installation, duct work, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and ventilation systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sheet metal installation.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Work Environment

Work involves managing field crews on commercial job sites throughout the greater Raleigh area. The role requires working in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for site visits.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
