Home Service Technician

Position Summary:
The Handyman Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks for homeowners. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while completing projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general home repairs and maintenance including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing, and basic electrical work.

• Install and repair household fixtures such as doors, cabinets, shelves, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and faucets.

• Complete small renovation and improvement projects as assigned.

• Inspect homes to identify maintenance or repair needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all job sites.

• Communicate clearly with customers about services being performed and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.

• Properly maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

• Follow all company safety procedures and local building codes.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in handyman services, home maintenance, construction, or a related trade.

• Knowledge of basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with residential remodeling or maintenance services.

• Knowledge of common household repair techniques and tools.

• Ability to complete multiple service calls in a day.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in residential homes and may require travel between job sites.

• Tasks may involve climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working in different weather conditions.
