Job Details – NICU RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Healthcare Setting: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse
• Start Date: September 3, 2025
• End Date: December 3, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 51 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730

Qualifications – NICU Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Level III or higher NICU experience (2+ years preferred)
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to float to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby units (babies only) as needed
• STABLE and NIC-RNC certifications preferred

Responsibilities – NICU RN Travel Nurse

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, respiratory therapists, and techs
• Perform and assist with NICU procedures and clinical interventions
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR
• Float to related pediatric units as needed to support patient care
• Adhere to unit policies, clinical guidelines, and infection control protocols
