• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2520–$2580
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic EMR experience required

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or high-acuity adult care nursing experience
• ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamics, pressor usage, and titration protocols
• Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention
• Skilled in HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent devices
• Ability to manage a 3-patient high-acuity assignment
• Competency test required within 48 hours of submission (sent via email)
• Navy blue scrubs required for all shifts
• Epic EMR proficiency required

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to complex medical and surgical patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and complex trauma
• Administer and titrate critical care medications and drips according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and evidence-based best practices
• Accurately document all patient care in the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Participate in competency assessments and ongoing nursing professional development
