The US Logistics Operations Specialist orchestrates and implements comprehensive logistics strategies for US operations, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and performance across the supply chain network. This role leads the daily operations of US Logistics by planning seamless product delivery that optimizes efficiency, punctuality, quality assurance, and safety compliance across the entire US supply chain operation.

Duties:

• Bulk Transportation Management:
  • Plan and manage domestic finished goods shipments from production and storage facilities (primary and secondary) to ensure timely placement of inventory to meet customer demands
  • Optimize NA truck and rail fleet deployment strategically to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
• Package Transportation Management:
  • Track and analyze shipment progress with third-party suppliers in real-time
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipment complications while managing system transactions to optimize freight movement
• Warehouse Operations:
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
  • Identify potential improvements in ways of working to improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Manage key suppliers to ensure their performance is compliant with KPIs and expectations of their contract
  • Develop and maintain logistics performance dashboards
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning, Production, Direct Procurement, Digital Productivity & Innovation, Regulatory, Quality, Product Technology & Engineering, HSE, Customer Service, and NA Logistics colleagues
  • Develop and Implement solutions for challenges arising in Distribution Planning, Inventory Management, Import/Export operations, and Production processes as they relate to the US Supply Chain
• Continuous Improvement and Budget Management:
  • Identify and propose new technologies or processes to improve efficiency
  • Lead pilot programs for new technologies or processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, distribution & inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in logistics-based technology solutions (such as SAP, TMS, WMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make timely and efficient decisions.
