Job Summary

GL Accountant is responsible for assisting with a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions.

Job Duties

• Performs general accounting activities, including the monthly preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger account activities.
• Assist with daily cash reconciliations and assigned Treasury responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Provides support to Shared Services Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A and Commissions teams, including forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis as needed.
• Continuously improve accounting procedures by analyzing current processes, recommending changes to streamline Workday and developing spreadsheet reports associated with the accounting close process.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Highly motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and cross-functionally within the company
• A working knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills
• Excel knowledge including Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• 3+ years of reporting and analytical experience
• Experience in Workday or Acumatica a plus.

Working Environment

• Office environment Mon-Fri, between the hours of 8 A.M to 5 P.M
• The position may require occasional travel for continuing education, training or support
