Job Summary
GL Accountant is responsible for assisting with a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions.
Job Duties
- Performs general accounting activities, including the monthly preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger account activities.
- Assist with daily cash reconciliations and assigned Treasury responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Provides support to Shared Services Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A and Commissions teams, including forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis as needed.
- Continuously improve accounting procedures by analyzing current processes, recommending changes to streamline Workday and developing spreadsheet reports associated with the accounting close process.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Highly motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and cross-functionally within the company
- A working knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills
- Excel knowledge including Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- 3+ years of reporting and analytical experience
- Experience in Workday or Acumatica a plus.
Working Environment
- Onsite employees – As a condition of your employment with ACN, Inc, you will be required to work onsite at our designated office or facility. - Office environment Mon-Fri, between the hours of 8 A.M to 5 P.M
- The position may require occasional travel for continuing education, training or support
