JR VDC Coordinator

Position Purpose

The Junior VDC Coordinator will support BIM coordination efforts by maintain clash detection reports, assisting in issue resolution and managing updates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of federated 3D BIM/CAD models.
• Perform clash detection and generate formal reports at key project milestones.
• Track and manage coordination issues using BIM 360/ACC or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve clashes and document changes.
• Involved in the preparation of visualizations and model navigation for internal reviews.
• Participate in internal coordination meetings and provide status updates during all stages of the project.
• Assist in updating models to reflect “As-Built” conditions.
• Contribute to documentation of integration challenges and solutions.
• Attend internal training sessions and apply VDC best practices
• Other duties assigned

Competencies

• Proficient in Revit, BIM 360/ACC, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows and content management.
• Familiarity with MEP systems and basic construction sequencing
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications / Prior Experience

• 1-3 years' experience in BIM/VDC coordination within the AEC industry
• CM-BIM certification a plus
• Exposure to visualization tools: Enscape, Lumion
• Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit or Navisworks preferred.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Prolonged period of sitting or standing at a desk while working on a computer.
• Exposure to outside elements when on location site.
