Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Job Details

• Location: Eden, TX 76837 (Texas behavioral health jobs)
• Setting: Correctional facility (clinical mental health setting)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel healthcare contract)
• Duration: 13 weeks (initial contract)
• Schedule: Day shifts, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 20, 2025

Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field
• Current LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure in the state of Texas (Texas mental health licensure required)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a behavioral health coordinator or similar role
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license preferred

Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments using clinical interviews and record reviews
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans for patients based on clinical evaluations
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health treatment to assigned caseload
• Document all clinical activities and treatment interventions in healthcare records in compliance with regulations
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive patient information and healthcare materials
• Demonstrate expertise in psychological counseling theory, mental health techniques, and clinical best practices
