Director of Operations

Location: Wilmington, NC

Travel: Available to travel regularly to venues and events, as needed.

Base salary: $90,000 – $120,000/yr. (dependent upon experience).

Overview:

The Director of Operations is responsible for operational execution across the Does

Entertainment organization. This key role ensures operational consistency, safety, and accountability across venues while building repeatable systems that support growth, reduce risk, and improve execution quality. The Director of Operations plays a critical role in how a growing live entertainment organization operates, while translating strategy into disciplined, on-the-ground operational execution.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Operations & SOPs

• Development, implementation, and enforcement of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and processes across the company.
• Translate operating standards into clear, repeatable processes for venue teams.
• Ensure SOPs are documented, communicated, trained, and consistently followed.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and operational risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure operational processes align with finance, ticketing,

marketing and production workflows.

Venue Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations across all Does Entertainment venues.
• Ensure consistent execution of operating standards, safety protocols, and policies.
• Support venue readiness, show execution, staffing alignment, settlement coordination.
• Serve as the primary operational escalation point for venues.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, onboard, and manage venue General Managers.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and operational guidance.
• Hold GMs accountable to SOPs, staffing models, compliance requirements,

and performance expectations.

Standards, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety, labor, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Support labor controls, staffing models, and cost discipline across venues.
• Reinforce a culture of operational accountability and risk management.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Define and monitor venue-level and operational KPIs.
• Lead post-event and post-period operational reviews.
• Drive corrective action planning and execution.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years’ experience in operational oversight within hospitality, or live entertainment.
• Team management experience, managing multi-site operations and frontline leaders.
• Development/implementation of/managing SOPs and operational standards.
• Strong judgment, leadership presence, and problem-solving skills.
