Summary:
Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up tires. May load and unload vehicle; as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
Load and unload trucks
Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or box trucks.
- Getting Information- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials.
- Working Directly with the Public- Greet customers in a friendly manor.
- Performing General Physical Activities- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Inspecting Equipment - Inspecting equipment to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Static Strength- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Reaction Time- The ability to quickly respond to a problem when it appears.
- Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Time Management- Managing one's own time.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The truck may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency, a minimum of one-year commercial driver experience required.
