On the Med Surg Unit, the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will join a high-performing musculoskeletal and bone-and-joint service line that manages spine, fracture, and joint-replacement populations with evidence-based protocols, thoughtful care transitions, and coordinated rehab; as part of a 100+ bed hospital grounded in community-focused care, the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will see a broad mix of orthopedic surgery and nonoperative conditions, consult on perioperative optimization, champion mobility milestones, and help sustain patient satisfaction scores that reflect genuine community trust.
This position collaborates closely with attending orthopedic surgeons, hospitalists, anesthesia, PT/OT, pharmacy, case management, and social work; daily responsibilities for the Orthopedic APP, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics include inpatient rounds, consults, pre-op assessments, post-op management, discharge planning, order set optimization, splinting and casting, joint injections as credentialed, all supported by friendly nurses, a diverse interprofessional team, real-time dashboards for outcomes tracking, and clinician-friendly tools that reduce clicks and free up time for bedside care.
